From Street to Home - The Impact of Your Contributions
Your donations support every step of a homeless animal's rescue journey. From transportation and medical fees (basic vaccinations, de-sexing, and other necessary procedures) to preventive measures (de-flea/de-worm) and sometimes feeding, your contributions make a big difference.
We Believe No-Kill Policy
We believe in a no-kill policy and that #EveryRescueMatters, regardless of age, condition, size, or breed. Every rescue animal deserves another chance in life.
The Cost of Saving One Life
While the value of a life is immeasurable, saving lives requires resources. We understand the importance of using our limited resources wisely to make the greatest impact.
At the start of each rescue, volunteers are notified and swiftly take action to save stray animals from various channels, such as animals captured by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, abandoned by their owners, born strays or rescued from illegal pet breeding facilties
Each rescue requires different steps.
In the absence of a shelter, we need to arrange vehicles to transport crates to the site. Approximately HKD 1000 (for unaccomapied animals).
Transporting the animals to the veterinary clinic. Approximately HKD 800.
Basic veterinary treatment and neutering surgery for dogs and cats. Approximately HKD 2,500 to 3,500.
4. Monthly deworming and flea treatments, heart-worm prevention, and food. Approximately HKD 600 to 1,500.
The average cost per rescue is HKD 4,000 to 5,900.
This does not include medical costs for pre-existing health issues that many rescue animals have.
Rescuing and caring for each animal involves significant expenses, your generous donations are crucial in covering these costs and ensuring that every rescued animal receives the care and love they deserve.
